You always see your price before you book, and every fare comes with a full breakdown after your trip.
What makes up your fare
Rates are set per region and shown in the app. Your estimate includes each of the following where it applies.
Base fare
A fixed amount that starts every trip.
Distance
A rate for each kilometre of your trip.
Time
A rate for each minute of your trip, which accounts for traffic.
Booking fee
A small fixed fee that helps us run the platform, plus any toll fee that applies.
Busy times
When demand is high or at certain peak hours, prices may be higher to bring more drivers onto the road. The app shows you when this applies.
Minimum fare
Very short trips are charged a minimum fare. Prices are rounded to a clean amount for easy payment.
How your final fare works
Locked in when you book
The rates, busy time multiplier, fees and taxes in your estimate are locked the moment you book.
Based on your actual trip
Your final fare is calculated from the real distance and time of your trip using those locked rates.
Protected from surprises
The final fare will not go beyond the limit set for your region relative to your estimate, unless the trip itself changes.
Price changes before booking
If the price moves while you are deciding, the app shows you the new price and asks you to confirm.
Promo codes
Discounts from promo codes are shown before you book and applied to your final fare.
Cancellation fees
Cancelling while we are finding a driver is always free. A fee only applies from your sixth cancellation in a row after a driver has been assigned, and it is added to your next trip.
